The Technological University for the South East Ireland (TUSEI) Steering Group welcomes the announcement by An Taoiseach, Leo Varadkar TD of Ireland’s first Technological University with the creation of TU Dublin. This development opens up an exciting new development in Higher Education in Ireland.
The Waterford Institute of Technology and Institute of Technology Carlow are working diligently towards the TU designation and the ultimate creation of the Technological University of the South East Ireland (TUSEI). Both Institutes are committed to achieving Technological University status with an application for designation planned for submission later in September 2018.
This development is seen as a dynamic catalyst for the future economic, technological, social and cultural development of the South East Region and nationally. This will further enhance the achievements and reputations of both Institutes nationally and internationally.
