Engaged. Ambitious. Proactive.

The South East Institutes of Technology in Carlow and Waterford are creating a technological university. The new university will be known as South East Technological University (SETU). A university that is inclusive and accessible to all, where students are at the heart of everything that we do, and which is characterised by a deep connection with the life of the region.

Through the professionalism of our staff, the work readiness of our graduates and the reach of our research and impact, we are an integral part of the South East, a leader and catalyst for progress and economic transformation.

As we embark on this new stage of our journey together, our aim is to build upon the heritage of both institutes, leverage resources and to create a multi-campus technological university of international standing.

We are committed to the creation of an engaged, ambitious and proactive multi-campus technological university of international standing which will be a key component of the infrastructure required.
